OPPORTUNITY

Launch a turnkey store–within–a–store environment for a new toy department that would resonate with children and parents, evoke a memorable in–store experience, and prompt repeat visits.

SOLUTION

Medallion Retail’s strategy leveraged the principles of color psychology and how the effects of color impact mood, behavior, and emotions in the built environment as our starting point. We worked a bright color palette into an inventive, imaginative land, where children can become part of the story and be surrounded by a whimsical environment of originally developed, oversized characters that live and play in this special fantasy destination–engaging children to discover, learn, and play. All of the essential components for the store–within–a–store program were designed, developed, and manufactured for a comprehensive and flexible national rollout for all Sears stores.
